{ Tuesday, December 16, 2008 }
Wow, it has been a crazy semester for me. I have spent the last 16 weeks studying like a maniac. Last week was by far the worst. This was my life for 7 days. PS, I actually lived on the couch.....

OK OK don't let me fool you, I did do some fun things. Jon and I went up to Kalamazoo ( in November, I really need to up date the blog more) and hung out with our super cool friends. Some random pics from the festivities:

Crazy busy as always

{ Sunday, November 2, 2008 }
I, of course, have had a crazy busy 2 weeks studying and researching and more studying. HOWEVER, I have one more test tomorrow and I am test free for 2 weeks!!! I am beside myself excited. So hopefully I can update more frequently. But we have had some exciting events lately. The girls and I took a trip to the orchard, we picked apples and pumpkins. The weather was perfect. We had a fabulous time.

Laura in a tree getting the perfect apple. I think for Beth because she was too scared to get in the tree!

Jon being crazy high painting the house. It turned out so pretty though. He did a great job.

Jon playing the Wii. My wonderful husband got me a Wii for my birthday and it is super fun to play. I can't wait for everyone to come over so we can have a Wii party!!!

The Paint King and Queen

{ Sunday, October 12, 2008 }
This weekend has been VERY busy for us. I decided I needed a red dining room. Huge project because FYI red paint requires at minimun 4 coats. But it was well worth the time because I LOVE IT!!! Take a peek at my handywork....

This is pre red paint

This is 4 coats later

We also decided to paint the outside of our house. Well Jon painted and I watched, but there is some touch up for me to do around the edges. Otherwise it looks FANTASTIC. And yes we now live in a green house!!

Jon being handy

PS thanks Rob for the paint sprayer. That thing rocks!!!

Crazy Study Week

{ Friday, October 3, 2008 }
So I had 3 tests this past week that I should have been studying like mad for, which I did because it is me and I love to study; but here is how I spent some of my week anyway......

This is the first time I used my wonderfully fabulous Kitchenaid mixer. I love it.

These little gems are like Reece cups only more weight friendly...delicious!! Thanks for the recipe Kim!

The girls and I at the winery, the best place to be after a long hard week.

My wonderful husband

It is me Erin again. It has pretty much been forever since I have updated the blog, but as you know I am a busy girl. But I wanted to take a moment and show you what my wonderful husband :) did for me while I slaved away studying....

My awesome bar area and I so excited to use...hopefully soon!!

This is my dining room and my ode to fall, my favorite time of year!!!

Shelves in the bedroom. I don't know what to put on them yet, but I love them anyway. A complete picture to come once I finish decorating.

I have to study like a mad woman for the next two weeks. Hopefully I will do something fun after that and have some stellar pictures to post!!

We have not been busy, just lazy :)

As normal I will tell a quick story and show a bunch of pictures. This story is for Phil. I got stung in the face by a huge bee. It freaking hurt. End of story. Here are more pictures from the wedding that happened a few weeks ago. Oh yeah, we ate before the wedding, so my mom found some sweet plastic aprons for everyone to wear. Kim would be the one sporting it in the picture.

The Ending or an Era and Beginning of a New One

{ Monday, August 25, 2008 }
Many photo's will follow as they arrive, but as many of you already know this weekend Erin and I got married! We would like to thank Phil, Kim, Justin, and Heather, plus our parents and everyone else that helped with everything. There was no rain during the wedding, but it down poured about 5 minutes after while everyone was on their way inside. The ending of an era came on Sunday when for the first time in 367 days I did not go out and run a mile. Following are some pictures form Phil and Kim's house and at the rehearsal. If anyone has fun pictures from the wedding please e-mail them to us at jonniej@aol.com . Thanks.

Soccer Anyone?

{ Wednesday, August 20, 2008 }
So instead of getting stuff done for the quickly approaching wedding, I decided to head back to Gull Lake and play in my high school alumni game. About 25 alumni showed up, but mostly it was the guys who had graduated with in the past 1-3 years. I mean, they are alumni, but come on... Anyway, there were 3 guys there that I had played high school soccer with, and my parents and Phil came out to watch the game. The game got off to a poor start when the alumni got scored on in the first 5 minutes, but we battled back tying the score in the 2nd half. Then came the glory! I hit a great shot (left footed even) from about 25 yards out. The game winning goal, or at least I thought. The varsity team countered about 5 minutes later with a good goal of their own. The game ended up going into OT and into PK's. I was picked to shoot one of them and decided not to volunteer the information that the last time I took a PK at Gull Lake that it was saved. But this time I got my redemption scoring my 2nd goal, helping the Alumni to the victory. Even if you count the PK as 0.5 goals, you have to round up to 1.0, so I did have 2 goals in the game no matter what "the hamburger" will say.

Phil was also nice enough to take 50 or so pictures during the game for me. If you look closely at the last picture he actually got my PK shot in mid air. I am disappointed that he didn't get my goal during the game though. But in all fairness to him, he told me he really didn't think my shot was going to get on goal, let alone go in.
