Oh Baby

{ Wednesday, April 8, 2009 }
This past Sunday I was fortunate enough to be able to attend The Maltburg's baby shower. Mrs. Camburn and I went and had great food, fabulous company and an overall wonderful afternoon. I don't have a lot of pictures of the gifts, I was too busy awing and I forgot. But here's what I have:

In the mood to craft

{ Sunday, March 29, 2009 }
I just have to say, I had a fabulous no school/study weekend that involved a craft show, lunch Grandma and Kate and dinner with Jon's parents, Kristin and Phil to celebrate Phil's birthday. It was busy and fantastic.

The craft show inspired me to be creative, these are the Easter eggs I made out of foam eggs and my Easter tree. My Easter decoration collection is coming along, I am slowly gathering holiday decorations....

PS: The chicken on the tree is for Jon

Friday Night Fun

{ Friday, March 27, 2009 }
As you know from reading Kim's and Liza'a blog we had a fabulous Friday night dinner date at the Maltburg's were we ate Chilean Empanadas. Liza was the chef and Kim and I her helpers. It was tons of fun even when I spilled an entire glass of water on Kim and I (sorry Kim). The six of us ate a ton of empanadas they were delicious and very filling. Thank you everyone for a wonderful evening we should do it again soon!!!

To add to the night the boys were wrestling and Jon got knocked in the eye. I of course was a drama queen, but everything turned out fine. His eye was fine. Sorry there are no pictures I was busy freaking out and almost throwing up. It was definitely a fun filled night!!!

BALTIMORE!!!

{ Wednesday, March 25, 2009 }
As everyone knows we are terrible about updating our blog, for starters we don't do a lot of fun blog worthy things and secondly we are just lazy. But recently we did a lot of fun things so be ready for days of blog posts!!!

To start with 2 weeks ago (I know I'm terrible) Jon and I took a road trip to Baltimore to see my sister and her boyfriend Tony, where they go to school at UMBC. The east coast is beautiful. We went to Annapolis and saw the Chesapeake Bay and ate at a seafood restaurant.

I do not like crab legs, which is blasphemous in Maryland

We also went to The Inner Harbor which is downtown Baltimore and walked around to see the sites and eventually we ate at The Hard Rock Cafe because I had never eaten at one. Thanks for being troopers guys! We ate good food and brought back a ton of fudge to share from a fudge shop that sings to you, it's hilarious. We had a fabulous time and hopefully we can go back this summer and visit.

We just had to get Lily the same hat....

The Nibblers are BACK!!!

{ Monday, March 9, 2009 }
Due to constant pestering by one person who shall remain nameless (KIM!!!!!) I have decided it may be time for a new post. Life has not been overly eventful since the last post, Erin is still studying like crazy, and I am still not keeping up on the blog posts. One thing that happened is that Phil, Kim, and I went to Detroit to help do some demo work and when we were there we saw this glorious sign.

Now I am not a White Castle fan at all, I usually run the other way, but I decided to try the chicken rings and fries. I am officially hooked, they were soooooo good. The fish nibblers were back for a limited time, and apparently they are really good, because I saw some hobo's scooping them up off the ground and eating them by the handful.

Another big event down here in South Bend was a large concrete pour at the new hospital that I was a part of. It started at 11:00 pm on a Thursday night and ended about 6:00 pm on Friday. It was 3,400 yards, which is pretty big (most pours are between 20 and 200 yards), the concrete company had 49 trucks running continuously between the site and the plant. They used 4 pump trucks, and the loading dock slab was 3 feet thick. Here are a few pictures.

SNOW DAY!!!

{ Tuesday, January 20, 2009 }
Sorry for the delay, but I am lazy. Don't worry, this post will be filled with pictures as normal. However we have had quite the busy past few weeks. My mom, dad, sister, sister boyfriend (Phil), Erin, and I went to a globetrotters game at wings stadium which was fun. Then came the snow and the cold in South Bend. We currently have somewhere between 18 and 22 inches on the ground depending on who you talk to. For this reason Erin had her first SNOW DAY! Which was great except the fact she woke me up at 5:30 in the morning to tell me about it.....thanks hunny. That day it got down to -19 degrees without the windchill which was fun also. So that night our power went out for a few hours which wouldn't of been so bad, but we missed the news saying that you should leave your water running a little so it doesn't freeze over night. Needless to say Erin once again woke me up at 5:30 letting me know we were without water. So I called and found out that the pipes had somehow froze outside our house. So I went back to bed and was awakened at 6:30 because her car wouldn't start, it was definitely a GREAT start to a Friday. We decided to leave for Kalamazoo first thing Saturday morning and got to hang out with Phil and Kim for Phil's birthday, then on Sunday we went to Sturgis for my grandma's 80th birthday party. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! (that includes you to Phil) Luckily when we got back Sunday night we had water. However on the down side, we have older pipes and the rust had clogged some of the lines, so I had to take some apart and flush them out, it was tons of fun. I don't think I missed anything, but if I did I will address it in the next post in a month of so. Until then, YEAH PICTURES!
