Mini Vacation

Last Thursday at 9:30 Erin and I set out on a mini vacation. We met up with Phil and Kim in Angola and drove over night to North Carolina. We arrived at about 11:00 Friday morning. Our friend Pete was getting married on Saturday so we went down a bit early to relax.

Thanks to Kim's driving we were stuck in a traffic back up for an hour.


Phil and I got out and found a dead rabbit, we called him Simon.


On Saturday before the wedding we stopped by a rummage sale, here is a picture of the girls with their goodies.


After the sale we went to a park that had putt putt golf, paddle boats, hiking trails, playgrounds, campgrounds, a small zoo, and lots of other stuff.

I am Technically a 2nd Year Physical Therapy Student

I AM FINALLY DONE....for a week :O) I finished all my finals yesterday so I am now offically a 2nd year PT student. This is super exciting because now I only have 7 more semesters. Hey it's better than 8!!! So to celebrate all our hard work some follow classmates and I spent a relaxing afternoon at the The Round Barn and Tabor Hill, 2 winery's in Berrian Springs. Ii was a beautiful sunny afternoon. I couldn't have asked for a better way to end a semester. Plus I ended up buying 3 bottles of wine! I just couldnt't pick one so I had to have all 3!! I can't wait to enjoy them.

Wingy Dingy!!

Last week was quite an eventful week for me. On Thursday Phil and I went to the Detroit Red Wings hockey game. It was game 1 of the 2nd round against the Avalanche. The game was Thursday night so we both took 1/2 days off of work and went over and hung out with Phil's brother and played slots at the casino. Here are some pictures.









On Saturday, I went over to the rental house in Angola and my friend Randy and I finished tearing down the old barn on the property and putting it in a dumpster.

I HATE TO STUDY!!!

I hate to study. Like today I should have been studying all day because I have 6 finals in 3 days and a paper due, instead I went grocery shopping and baked banana bread. But check out the bread it is so pretty, it was totally worth it. So wish me luck on my studying....I am going to need it!! :O)

I love SPRING!!!!

It has been forever since I (Erin) have updated the blog, but I am a study freak so I dont have alot of spare time. Not a good excuse but still, however this summer will be better because I have less classes...so more blog!!!!! I am not going to try to catch you up since August, so I'll just stick with this week which was fabulous by the way. It has been super nice so Jon and I have taken the puppies for a walk. Lola is a smidge overweight so she is on a diet and we are trying to walk her and Jagger everyday. They love it, we love it, it is a great situation. Also yesterday some of the girls I go to school with we decided to have a picnic at lunch before class. It was a little short notice but it was so much fun and we will be more prepared next time. Again I love SPRING!!!

Our First Earthquake

At 5:37 Friday morning Erin and I survived our first earthquake. The earthquake was in southern Indiana, but we felt it all the way up in South Bend. So that is one natural disaster that I can cross off my list, only tornado, hurricane, avalanch, flood, and sunami to go. I think I will stay around northern Indiana and southern Michigan where most of those do not occur.
