Roughing it Camping style

{ Wednesday, July 18, 2007 }
This past weekend was the big Carr family reunion. Every year it is held at a campground where you have the option to camp all weekend or just come Sunday for the festivities. It was a good size turnout this year. 50 some campers and 136 total at the reunion. Not too bad. Jon and I of course camped and it wouldn't be an Erin adventure if something didn't go wrong. Well everything started out well but apparently the air mattress had a hole in it and we woke up Saturday morning on the ground. Needless to say we were a bit achey that day. Luckily one of his uncles had a spare mattress so we were set for the night.

All in all it was a great weekend. Eveyone took a nap read some magazines, and some crazy people got in the pool. But by far one of the best parts is going to the Hayloft, an ice cream parlor in Decatur Michigan for dessert. It is delicious!!!

Jon and I posing but our scrumptious dessert!!!

Kristin and Ellen also enjoying the ice cream.

Our flower girl Caitlin and her mom being adorably silly!!!

Babies and Curtis

{ Tuesday, July 10, 2007 }
What a crazy weekend. Saturday Kim and I decided to tackle Babies R'US. Wow it is crazy in there. I was completely overwhelmed, but we had a great time nonetheless and we got a lot of cool useful gifts. No pictures we want it to be a surprise for Heather. :O)
After a fabulous full day of shopping we headed to Curtis's going away party. I thought I would add a few pics of the pre party festivities. Thanks for the laughs Jon and Phil!

I think it's best if you use your imagination for this pic.

Nice face Phil

Once we got to the party we hang around and chatted. The boys played some game they made up and we watched some drunk people. Kim and I were the DD's. Pete came to the party which was awesome. We don't see him nearly enough and he is always hilarious!

The highlight of the party was Curtis getting tossed into the kitty pool. Trust me he enjoyed it! :)

Kim and I looking hot

Overall we had a fun and productive weekend. But I really need to get on some wedding plans. Good thing I have the whole event planned...in my head....Much love

Happy 4th of July!

{ Wednesday, July 4, 2007 }
Jon and I decided today would be a fab day to begin construction on the new downstairs bathroom. So we headed to Home Depot where I got to use my new Home Depot card!! I got to buy paint for the walls and they are beautiful COLORS!!! I am so excited.

It is definitely a work in progress. But once it is done it is going to look great. I hate the mess and cluter but I know in the end it is going to be worth it. I need to just get over it.

Our other project for the day included spicing up the upstairs bath. It got a new cabinet, towel hook and toliet paper holder. And next week I am going to give it a fresh coat of carmel colored paint to wrap up that project. It is going to look beautiful when it is all finished. I can hardly wait.

Looking good.....

Wedding Adventure #1

{ Monday, June 25, 2007 }
This past weekend my mom, youngest sis and I went wedding dress shopping. I had a blast. There are so many to chose from it is almost overwhelming!! Some of them are so heavy it is like carrying 20 extra pounds!! I am trying to lose weight for my wedding not gain some!! :O) However, I did find a dress I loved. It was everything I was looking for, except it didn't have lace. So I am going to try on one similar at the same store different location. I have a feeling that it will be my dress. But I am going to wait until my Grandma is feeling better before I go trying more. She had open heart surgery and now she is having back problems and it is not the same without her there with me. So i am going to wait to go back until she is ready. As long as it is ordered by this August it will be fine. I am still SOOOO excited!!! Much love.

First Blogging Experience

{ Wednesday, June 20, 2007 }

Well, I never thought I would be a blog person; but my fabulous friends talked me into it. Besides I am getting MARRIED in a year (and 2 months) and this will be a great way to keep everyone updated on my progress. So far I have been engaged for 5 days and it has been great. We haven't had any fights or anything. :) I am going to look at a possible wedding location this weekend. Hopefully it is as beautiful as it looked online. And I hope it holds as many people as I need. We are looking at 300 people. Good Luck in finding a place that hold that much Erin!!!! Much Love.
